1. Scope

These General Terms and Conditions (GTC) apply to all orders placed by consumers and businesses through the RIVOLI GENÈVE Vertrieb GmbH online store.

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, a “consumer” is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction primarily for private purposes. A “business entity” is any natural person, legal entity, or partnership with legal capacity that, at the time of entering into the contract, is acting in the course of its commercial or self-employed activities.

Any terms and conditions of the customer that differ from these shall apply only if we have expressly agreed to their validity in writing.

2. Offers and Conclusion of Contracts

The presentation of our products in the online store does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather an invitation to place an order.

All product descriptions are provided to the best of our knowledge. Despite our utmost care, errors, technical changes, and prior sales are subject to change.

By clicking the “Place Order” button, you are submitting a binding offer to enter into a purchase agreement.

Once we receive your order, you will automatically receive an order confirmation via email. This merely confirms that we have received your order and does not constitute acceptance of your offer.

The sales contract is not concluded until we ship the goods or send you an explicit order confirmation.

If a product is unavailable, we will notify you as soon as possible. Any payments already made will, of course, be refunded immediately.

3. Prices and Payment Methods

Prices

All prices listed on our website include the applicable sales tax.

Shipping

Shipping within the countries we serve is always free of charge.

The estimated delivery time is usually 1–5 business days, unless a different delivery time is specified for the product in question.

We ship Monday through Friday via our shipping partner, DHL. Delivery to Packstations is available.

Payment Methods

During the ordering process, you can choose from the available payment options, such as:

Payment processing may be handled by external payment service providers. In this case, their respective terms of use also apply.

4. Delivery

Delivery will be made to the shipping address provided by the customer.

If delivery is not possible due to an incorrect address or for other reasons attributable to the customer, we reserve the right to withdraw from the contract.

If an ordered item is permanently unavailable, we will notify you immediately and issue a full refund for any payments already made.

Delays in delivery or performance due to force majeure or other unforeseeable events beyond our control shall extend the delivery period by a period equal to the duration of the hindrance.

5. Retention of Title

Until full payment has been made, the delivered goods remain the property of RIVOLI GENÈVE Vertrieb GmbH.

6. Right of Withdrawal

Consumers are entitled to the statutory right of withdrawal.

For detailed information on requirements, deadlines, and legal exceptions—particularly regarding sealed cosmetics and personal care products—please refer to our separate cancellation policy.

7. Warranty

The statutory warranty rights apply.

If your shipment shows obvious signs of damage incurred during transit, please file a claim with the delivery carrier as soon as possible and notify us promptly. Your statutory warranty rights remain unaffected, of course.

8. Liability

We are fully liable for damages resulting from willful misconduct or gross negligence.

In the event of a breach of material contractual obligations due to slight negligence, we shall be liable exclusively for foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract.

The limitations of liability do not apply in cases of injury to life, body, or health, or to claims under the Product Liability Act, or to the extent that liability is mandatory under law.

9. Storage of the Contract Text

Your order details and these Terms and Conditions will be sent to you via email as part of your order confirmation.

If you have created a customer account, you can view your orders there at any time.

10. Premium Quality

All RIVOLI products are developed with the utmost care and manufactured to high Swiss quality standards. Our formulations are based on scientific research, carefully selected active ingredients, and an uncompromising commitment to quality.

11. Final Provisions

The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, unless this is precluded by mandatory consumer protection laws.

The language of the contract is German.
