• Apply a thick layer to cleansed face and upper neck.

Why use a detoxifying and purifying mask in the evening?
Throughout the day, your skin accumulates various pollutants, dirt, oil, and makeup residue. An evening purifying mask, especially a clay-based one, can effectively draw out these impurities deep within your pores, leaving your skin refreshed.
Cleansing and detoxifying your skin right before your nighttime skincare routine (creams, serums, etc.) enhances the absorption and effectiveness of those products. A clean base allows beneficial ingredients to penetrate better.
While asleep, the skin goes into a natural repair mode. A detox mask applied before bed helps clear your pores and provides an optimal environment for the skin to regenerate and renew itself.

Free radicals, oxidative stress and antioxidants explained
Free radicals are basically unstable molecules in the body: this is due to the fact that they miss an electron.

This makes them very reactive, meaning they're constantly looking to steal an electron from other molecules. While some free radicals are actually beneficial for certain cellular functions, having too many can be harmful.

When free radicals steal electrons from other molecules, they damage those molecules. This damage, called oxidative stress, can have a number of consequences for the health:

• It impairs cell function and contribute to cell death.
• It contributes to the formation of wrinkles, decreased elasticity in the skin, and other signs of aging.

The body has natural defenses against free radicals: the antioxidants. They neutralize free radicals by donating an electron, preventing them from causing damage.

Some examples of antioxidants used in skincare:

• Green tea extract
• Retinol
• Resveratrol

The tube and cap are partially made of recycled plastic (50% for the tube and 100% for the cap). They should be disposed of. There is no need to separate the elements (tube from cap).
